Problem Which I Was Facing:

This blog post belongs to my experience and tool what I am going to use or already using may be updated here over the period. When I saw the google webmaster tool stats for this website, most of the blog posts are not getting enough click even through they were having good impressions. I start researching on different blogs and different tool and sharing the experience with you.

Below is the CTR (click through rate) of Jan 2019:

Can I update the website to attract more click on search engine result page and what I need to update?

Yes, we can. It depends on our first impression on the search engine result page. On search engine result page, only meta title and in some cases meta description is visible. It is just like our first impression at Google SERP in the eyes of the visitor. It is up to Google, which content Google is going to show at SERP as a snippet. If our meta description is relevant to the search engine query, Google will show otherwise, some other content as snippet will be taken from the page.

Old Title: A short Story About Me
New Title:Learn here how to change yourself into high-performance machine

Which one do you want to click?

Old title is telling you about me. I am not a famous person so nobody will be interested in my story. Maybe after some years when I am famous, People may like to click on it. New Title is talking about your problem which people may like to click.

New Title: How To Grow Professionally Using 11 Winning Lessons

How To Optimize Meta Title / Headline:

Nowadays Meta titles are more marketing oriented compare to SEO oriented meta titles. It is very important that meta title, page content and user intent are aligned to each other. We should treat meta titles as headline for content.

You can create the headline on the basis of google suggestion. I tried to search keyword “headline” Please check screenshot below:

It has given me keyword like “headline tool”, “headline checker” “headline analyzer” which may be matched with user intent of visitor on google search result page.

Google Keyword Suggestion On Search Result Page:

Google also gives keyword suggestion for a keyword you are searching. Go down at google search result page, you will find relevant keyword.

Only Keyword In Title Is Not Enough:

Keyword in the title will help you in search engine ranking but how your title pulls human’s mind attention will determine to click on search engine result page. In 2019 you should not only pay attention to your keyword but also how carefully you craft your title.
